How to Learn the Straddle Planche
The straddle planche is a horizontal straight-arm hold with your legs straight and spread wide, which shortens the lever compared with the full planche. It is the bridge between the tuck planche and the full planche.

Straddle Planche technique
- Place your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width
- Lock your elbows and keep your arms straight
- Push the floor away and round your upper back slightly
- Lean forward until your shoulders move well past your wrists
- Keep your hips level with your shoulders
- Open your legs into a comfortable straddle position
- Brace your core and squeeze your glutes
- Point your toes and keep your whole body tight
